BIOGRAPHY
 
Yaron Eli handles all aspects of tax law, for both companies and individuals, including representation before the various tax authorities.

Yaron joined GKH as an Associate in 2004. Prior to joining GKH, Yaron worked in one of Israel's largest tax law firms, and before that was a member of the legal department of the Income Tax Authority. Yaron participated in the writing of "Tax Treaties - 111 Comparison Tables of Israel's Tax Treaties" (Alter, Kalif, Levovitsch), and is the author of numerous articles in professional journals. Yaron serves as the Academic Director of the Minhal College (Tel Aviv campus), and lectures there in the fields of accounting and taxation.

Education: Academic Law College, Ramat Gan, Israel (LL.B, 2003); The College of Management, Rishon Letzion, Israel (Tax Advisor, 1999); Tel - Aviv University (LL.M, 2007).

Admitted: Israel Bar, 2004.

Member: Israel Bar Association; Israel Bar Association Taxation Committee; Institute of Certified Tax Advisors in Israel.

Languages: Hebrew and English.

PUBLICATIONS
In October 2008, the Israeli Supreme Court issued a precedent setting decision in the case re Pi-Glilot Oil Terminals and Pipes Ltd. (the Pi-Glilot case). The Court decided that, under the certain circumstances of this case, financial expenses due to a loan for the purpose of dividend distribution will be eligible for deduction.
